Whiff of Joy

Whiff of Joy Challenge #55 is a colour combo -

Orange, Brown and Ivory

This is not a colour combo I would think of for a Christmas card, but I think it turned out great:O)
The image is from WOJ winter kit 2009, and I have coloured it with watercolour pencils and watertank brush.
I have added some Stickles "Star Dust".

The Christmas tree is folded using teabag folding.
You can go over to Stampartic to look at the fabulous tutorial:O)

The stamp in the corners are from Sugar Shoppe.

I have distressed with Deistress Ink "Walnut Stain"

The tree from an other angle.

Inside my card I have made room for a personal note,
on the right I am going to put a picture of my children:O)

My signature stamp on the back .

This card was very fun to make. Hope you liked it, thank you for looking:O)

Stampin' for the Weekend # 23

We have come to Stampin' for the Weekend Challenge #23

FESTIVE GOODIE BOX

and this week we are challenged by our own Vicki:O)

She want us to make a
christmassy themed box with the added extra of it being distressed....i.e. tattered 'n' torn.

I made a Pillow Box Bucket:O)
I found this tutorial over at Splitcoast stampers:O)
but there are plenty of others on that site or you tube, or if you already have designs of your own just go with that, as long as it's a box to hold some christmassy treats that's fine.

Vicki also kindly offers a fabulous prize for one lucky winner:

MME "Just Dreamy" 12 x 12 paper kit

1 bottle of gold Glimmer Mist

selection of tea roses

How yummy is that?

I used red Bazzil Basic
DP is from My Minds Eye

The gorgeous image is from the new Winter kit from Whiff of Joy,
and I have painted with Distress ink,
but I have to tell you there is a first time for everything.
I have never tried this before, but it was so fun, and I will do some more colouring with Distress.

The sentiment is in Norwegian, translated:
"Heavenly pleasures falls down like beautiful Snowflakes and gives light in the darkness of winter."

Flowers, brads and lace are from stash.
I have added some Crystal Stickles to the flowers and the glitter spots.

I hope to see you all in this week's challenge.
You have to stop by the Stampin' for the Weekend blog to look at the amazing projects the rest of the DT have made for this week.
Do stop by our lovely Guest Designers, and give them some nice comments:O)

Gry-Heidi and Benedicte, who is my oldest daughter:O)

Have a wonderful weekend;O)

Two in one.

This card goes with two different challenges:

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge #4 -
they want us to make a fancy card fold.. anything except a simple, typical A2 folded card.

Stamp Something - Cute an Fuzzy Something
I think this image is so cute, so that will do as cute something.

The Mo's image I have used is "Bronte and Louis",
and I have coloured with watercolour pencils and watertank brush.

As the DT over at Mo's Challengeblog didn't want us to make a regular card, I just started folding, and it turned out like this:O)

I have used Brown Bazzil Basic for this card.
DP's are from Foofala and Scenic Route.
Flowers, Ricrak and Dew drops are from my stash.

Are they not cute?

The sentiment inside is from Making Memories.

On the back I have my signature stamp.

I hope you liked this card. I made it for a blog friend's son who turnes 12 the 7th Nov. and is on the Autistic Specrtum. Have a look at Claire's blog to read the story about Daniel:O)
As he loves to get cards, I wanted to make him one:O)

Have a great day.
